One way to resolve water flow issues is to build a dry creek bed. Dry creek beds can redirect water, help prevent erosion, and resolve drainage issues. Not only are they functional, but they are very attractive in their own right. Some clients have even installed them purely for aesthetic reasons.
Your purpose for the dry creek bed will impact our design. If your dry creek bed is functional, then there is a need to look at the amount of water flow or accumulation, the source of the water, and where to direct the water. If it is built for aesthetic purposes only, then more creative freedom is allowed.
